Football Club (Boys)
Established in 2007, the Nan Hua Football Club (NHFC) is a second co-curricular activity (CCA) group under the Boys’ Brigade. With ten years of football history under our belt, NHFC is still going strong and remains determined to do better every year. We have participated in various inter-school competitions, tournaments and friendly matches against other schools, and we constantly push ourselves to win every single match. This is because our players are passionate and have a heart for the sport.
Trainings take place every Tuesday and Thursday under the watchful eyes of our coach, Mr Alvinder Singh, and our teachers-in-charge, Mr Isaac Sim, Ms Neo Xueli and Mr Edmund Choo. Mr Jonathan Tan, our inspiring mentor, can also be frequently found on the field playing and training with us. Our coach and teachers never fail to give us their 100% to support us in different ways during our training sessions and competitions.
NHFC Reunion Cup
Our football training is physically and mentally tough, but the entire club believes in the saying, “One for all and all for one”. Every recess, once the bell rings, club members will rush to the volleyball court to play street soccer. It is the desire of all club members to hone our skills so as to become better players. We will not give up as we are determined to bring NHFC to greater heights.
This year, NHFC made it into the quarterfinals of the West Zone B Division Football Championships. We would not have gotten this far if not for our hard work during training sessions and the encouragement and efforts of our coach and teachers. It was a great learning experience for all of us and we are confident that we will make Nan Hua proud by doing even better in 2018.
Football is a team sport and NHFC prides itself on its teamwork. We will continue to motivate and encourage one another so that we can bring glory to the school as Nan Hua enters another century of achievements.
