Dance Society

The Dance Society had yet another exciting and fulfilling year with lively performances at CCA Extravaganza, the Chinese New Year celebrations and the Sports Carnival.  These performances included a wide variety of different dance genres such as dynamic hip hop and invigorating lion dances which brought out the best in our dancers.

Chingay 2017

At the Chingay Parade this year, we took the spotlight with fire torches and light sabers in our hands, presenting an exhilarating performance which left the spectators in awe.  The Dance Society is also very honoured to be given the opportunity to perform at "南华圆" to commemorate our school's centennial year.  Our performance alludes to the painstaking efforts of Singapore's pioneer generation with the use of props like rice sacks and miniatures replicas of barge lighters which were used to transport goods upstream to warehouses along the river banks, to remind Nan Huarians to never forget the hardships our seniors went through to help Nan Hua excel and to emulate them to bring Nan Hua to greater heights.

Another highlight of this year was our participation in the opening ceremony of the 9th ASEAN School Games for which our dancers underwent vigorous practices and numerous rehearsals for a truly energetic performance.

The Dance Society members will continue to put in our best effort towards greater achievements in the future!
